Ingredients
-
3 Tbsp. Navitas Organics Cacao Powder
-
3 Tbsp. Navitas Organics Cacao Sweet Nibs
-
4 oz. Navitas Organics Cacao Wafers, plus more if needed
-
6-8 Navitas Organics Cacao Butter Wafers
- 1¼ cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
- ¾ tsp. baking soda
- ¾ tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. coconut sugar
- ¼ tsp. cinnamon
- ½ cup + 1 Tbsp. honey
- 1½ Tbsp. avocado oil
- 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
- ½ cup dairy-free cream cheese
- 1 cup water
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Add cacao powder, cacao sweet nibs, flour, baking soda, baking powder, vanilla, coconut sugar, cinnamon, ½ cup honey, avocado oil, apple cider vinegar, and ½ cup water to bowl and mix together.
- Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan and add cake mix. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Break up cake with a spoon and add to a bowl.
- Microwave cream cheese for ~10 seconds, add to bowl with cake and mix together. Add ½ cup water for more moisture if needed and roll mix into small balls. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. After chilling, poke each cake ball with a toothpick.
- Line a pan or plate with parchment paper.
- Add Cacao Wafers and Cacao Butter Wafers to a microwave-safe bowl, heat for ~1 min then stir together. Microwave longer if needed, at 10 second intervals, until smooth. Add honey to sweeten, if desired.
- Dip each cake ball into melted cacao, covering completely. Set on parchment paper to cool and remove toothpick by twisting. Let cool until cacao shell hardens and enjoy!
