Almond Butter & Superfruit Chia Jam Sandwich

Get creative and well nourished with this superfood spin on a classic.



For the Sandwich

2 slices bread of your choice

100% almond butter

Superfruit chia jam (recipes below)

Blueberry-Acai Chia Jam

3 cups frozen blueberries

1/4 cup Navitas Coconut Sugar

2 Tbsp. lemon juice, fresh squeezed

1 1/2 tsp. Navitas Acai Powder

pinch sea salt

3 Tbsp. Navitas Chia Seeds

Cherry-Camu Chia Jam

2 cups frozen cherries

2 Tbsp. Navitas Coconut Sugar

1 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice, fresh squeezed

1 tsp. Navitas Camu Powder

pinch sea salt

2 Tbsp. Navitas Chia Seeds


1. Place frozen fruit in a saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until the fruit begins to release its juices, about 5 minutes.

2. Add the coconut sugar and lemon juice, and smash some of the fruit to create a more jammy consistency. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and cook until the liquids have reduced by half, 10-15 minutes.

3. Remove from heat, and stir in the Navitas superfood powder and a pinch of salt.

4. Add the chia seeds and stir until thoroughly mixed. Let cool 10 minutes before spreading on bread. Transfer leftover jam to a heatproof jar and cool completely before covering and refrigerating for future enjoyment!
