Oat Flax Energy Bites Recipe
These energy bites are great to keep in your fridge for whenever you need a little pick-me-up. They include the perfect combination of protein, fat, slow-burning fruit sugars and satiating fiber to help power you through your morning activities or give you the boost you need to get through that afternoon slump.
INGREDIENTS12 dates, pitted ¼ cup flax seeds ½ cup quick oats ¾ cup nut butter of choice ¼ tsp. ground cinnamon ½ tsp. vanilla extract 1 Tbsp. Navitas Organics Cacao Nibs 2 Tbsp. Navitas Organics Cacao Powder Optional, for rolling: Sesame seeds Shredded coconut Navitas Organics Matcha Powder Navitas Organics Pomegranate Powder |
DIRECTIONSCombine dates, flax seeds, oats, nut butter, cinnamon, vanilla, cacao nibs and cacao powder in a food processor. Pulse until the mixture is sticky and a tad crumbly. Using your hands, roll the date mixture into tablespoon-size balls. Roll each ball in optional toppings. Refrigerate for at least an hour. Makes 24 bites
