Cacao Almond Bars Recipe

These cacao almond bars taste just as good as they look! They are perfect to grab on the go if you are wanting something sweet midday or needing a nice dessert after dinner. Not only are they delicious, but they are nutritious as well!

INGREDIENTS

½ cup Navitas Organics Cacao Powder

4 Tbsp. almond butter

1 Tbsp. melted coconut oil

3 Tbsp. raw honey (or maple syrup)

1 tsp. vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Recommended Toppings:

Navitas Organics Goji Berries

Navitas Organics Cacao Nibs

Pumpkin seeds

Almonds, chopped

Sunflower seeds

DIRECTIONS

To a large bowl, add the cacao powder, almond butter, coconut oil, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined.

Once you have a dough-like consistency, place onto a piece of flat parchment paper, then place another sheet of parchment paper over the top.

Use a rolling pin, the bottom of a cup or the back of a spoon to flatten out the dough into a square shape.

Once flat and about one inch thick, add your toppings.

Freeze for 25-30 minutes, then remove and cut into pieces.

Makes 6 bars
