- Questions (3)
Thank you for your question regarding our goji berries. Navitas gojis are washed and low temperature dried. We minimally process all of our superfoods in order to maintain their inherent nutritional properties. The vitamin C contents you mentioned are per 100g serving. Our Nutrition Facts panel for goji berries is based on a 30g serving size. Since vitamin C is not an FDA required nutrient on the panel, it must be present at a concentration of at least 10% of its RDA at the stated serving size. The testing we do has our gojis averaging at 5-6mg per 30g serving, which does not meet that threshold, and therefor cannot be called out on the package per FDA regulations. I hope this answers your question, but if you have further questions feel free to reach out to us directly at navitasorganics.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
It is not uncommon for small amounts of leaf material to adhere to the goji berries during the drying process. They are perfectly safe to consume. If you have further questions please feel free to contact our customer service team directly at navitasorganics.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.

Thank you for contacting us and for your inquiry about our Goji Berries.
Navitas Organics Goji Berries are sourced from the fertile valleys of the Ningxia Province in China; this is a native region for Goji Berries and we are confident that this is a premium source. Our Goji Berries are certified organic in the East and by the USDA in the United States. They are also minimally processed and carefully sun dried to preserve their maximum nutritional density. They are raw, vegan, Non-GMO, and certified Kosher. Navitas Organics does not use any preservatives, colorants, moisture enhancers, or fillers of any kind in any of our premium superfoods. We operate with the highest integrity from farm to pantry and validate our high standards of quality with third party lab analysis on all of our foods. Our Goji Berries are tested in the United States for nutritional biochemistry analysis, pesticides, sulfites, microbes, fungi, and heavy metals. All of this testing is done after the raw materials arrive at our Northern California facility.
The majority of goji berries on the market today are sourced from China. Navitas Organics has always strived to highlight the rich cultural and historical significance of the global superfoods we offer. This 'region of origin' is what we reference on the front of each food that we offer. In the case of Goji Berries, their historical origin is rooted in the use of Goji Berries by Tibetan monks of the Himalayas.
