Superfood Steel Cut Oatmeal Recipe

Reminiscent of your favorite chocolate cereal flavors but without the sugar crash after! Cozy cinnamon, nutmeg and coconut meet cacao, walnuts, hemp seeds, and raisins. This breakfast bowl is packed with nutrition and texture!

 

INGREDIENTS

½ cup walnuts (chopped)

2 Tbsp. shredded coconut

1 cup steel cut oats

1 cup coconut milk

 2–3 cup water (as needed)

1 Tbsp. maple syrup

1 tsp. cinnamon

1 tsp. nutmeg

¼ cup raisins

1 Tbsp. Navitas Organics Cacao Sweet Nibs

½ Tbsp. Navitas Organics Cacao Powder

2 Tbsp. Navitas Organics Hemp Seeds



DIRECTIONS

Heat a saute pan over medium-low heat. Add the walnuts and shredded coconut and toast until fagrant and golden.

Meanwhile, rinse oats thoroughly until water runs clear. Drain and combine oats with coconut milk, 1 cup of water and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce to low and simmer, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Add more water as needed for cooking or until desired consistency is reached.

Top with toasted walnuts and shredded coconut to serve.
