Rice Crispy Treats Recipe

This fun and flexible vegan recipe can include various superfood substitutions and additions for a sweet treat that everyone will crave!

INGREDIENTS 

3 cups Crispy Rice Cereal
1 Tbsp Navitas Organics Maca Powder
¼ Cup Navitas Organics Hemp Seeds
½ Cup Almond Butter
¼ Cup Maple Syrup
¼ cup Yacon Syrup (or brown rice syrup)
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
⅛ tsp Sea Salt
3 Tbsp Navitas Organics Cacao Nibs
½ Cup chopped dark Chocolate, melted

DIRECTIONS

Line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

In a medium bow, toss the crispy rice cereal, maca powder, and hemp seeds together.

In a small saucepan, mix together the almond butter, maple syrup, yacon syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt over medium heat. Cook for 5 minutes, or until ingredients are thoroughly melted, stirring consistently.

Pour the mixture over the cereal blend and sprinkle in the cacao nibs. Mix very well, until the cereal is thoroughly coated. Transfer to the prepared baking pan, and press firmly into a flat layer. Drizzle with melted chocolate. Refrigerate for 1 hour before cutting into 16 squares.
