Maqui Mule Recipe

This superfood twist on the classic Moscow Mule is a vibrant, antioxidant-packed drink boosted with organic maqui powder. With a deep berry flavor and a powerful punch of superfood wellness, it's refreshing, zesty and naturally delicious!

INGREDIENTS

Maqui Mule:
½ oz. lime juice
½ oz. Maqui Mint Simple Syrup*
2 oz. soda water
6 oz. ginger beer
2 oz. vodka (omit for mocktail)
Maqui Mint Simple Syrup:
8 oz. water
1 cup sugar
1 Tbsp. Navitas Organics Maqui Powder
1 cup mint leaves 

DIRECTIONS

Remove mint leaves from stems. 
Combine water, sugar, maqui powder and mint leaves in a stock pot. 
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. 
Simmer for 1 minute; remove from heat and let syrup steep for 30 minutes. 
Strain syrup using a mesh strainer over a 4-cup measuring cup and pour into glasses/containers. Cheers!

    Maqui Mint Simple Syrup:

    1. Remove mint leaves from stems [1 bunch mint (1.6oz/45g) = 1 cup mint leaves].

    2. Combine water, sugar, maqui powder and mint leaves in a stock pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.

    3. Simmer for 1 minute; remove from heat and let syrup steep for 30 minutes. Strain using mesh strainer to remove mint leaves and let cool.

    4. Prepare Maqui Mule by combining all mule ingredients with Maqui Simple Syrup in desired cup or glass and stir well to combine.

    5. Store in airtight container in refrigerator for up to 1 week. To serve, pour over ice and enjoy!
