Maca Chai Truffles Recipe

These energy-boosting Maca Chai Truffles are incredibly yummy, decadent and packed with superfoods. They make for the perfect, healthy vegan dessert or midday snack.

INGREDIENTS

1 can full-fat coconut milk
9 oz. vegan chocolate chips
3 cinnamon sticks
1 Tbsp. cardamom pods
1 Tbsp. whole cloves
3 pieces of star anise
¼ cup Navitas Organics Cacao Powder
3 Tbsp. Navitas Organics Maca Powder
⅓ cup roasted almonds
Coating:
4 oz. vegan chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS

In a small saucepan, heat coconut milk and spices over medium heat. Simmer for about 5 minutes over low. Strain through a sieve and pour into a bowl.
Add maca powder, cacao powder and chocolate. Stir well until chocolate has fully melted and everything is combined. Add chopped almonds and combine.
Transfer into a bowl and refrigerate for about 2-3 hours to set.
Once truffle mixture is moldable, take 1 tablespoon of chocolate mixture and form into a ball with the palms of your hands. Repeat with remaining mixture. Freeze for about 1 hour.
Dip frozen truffles in melted chocolate and transfer onto parchment paper until chocolate has hardened. Enjoy!
Store truffles in an airtight container in the fridge.
