Hemp Waffles
Fluffy and crisp in all the right places‚ these waffles also offer good fats‚ protein and minerals, thanks to the addition of Hemp Seeds and Chia Powder.

INGREDIENTS1¼ cups Almond Milk |
DIRECTIONSIn a small bowl, whisk together the almond milk, vinegar, Chia Powder and vanilla extract. Let stand for 10 minutes. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and sea salt. Add the almond milk mixture, 2 tablespoons safflower oil and Hemp Seeds, and stir until just combined – do not over-mix. Heat the waffle iron. Once hot, brush lightly with oil. Pour in ½ cup of batter,* and cook for 5-7 minutes or until waffles are golden and crispy. Serve immediately or store in an oven warmed to 250° F while making the remaining waffles. Serving suggestion: Top with fresh berries, coconut whipped cream and maple syrup. *If using a Belgium waffle maker, adjust batter quantity to fit size of appliance. Makes 4 round waffles
