Copycat Chocolate Crisp Bars

These copycat candy bars are a fun, feel-good alternative to your favorite store-bought versions—made with just four simple, nutrient-packed ingredients. Each bite is loaded with fiber, minerals and antioxidants. The best part? They’re super easy to whip up and guaranteed to be a hit with the whole family!

INGREDIENTS

¾ cup Navitas Organics Semi-sweet Cacao Wafers

½ cup quinoa

½ Tbsp. vanilla bean paste (or sub. vanilla extract)

½ Tbsp. coconut oil

DIRECTIONS

Rinse quinoa and keep moist.

Heat small pan over medium-high heat, add scoop of quinoa and flatten into thin layer. Use spatula to break up quinoa.

Once it begins popping, shake pan and allow to pop more. 

Pour popped quinoa into separate bowl. Repeat scoop by scoop until all quinoa is popped. 

Melt cacao wafers in microwave on medium/low setting at 30-second increments, stirring in between until melted. Add vanilla and coconut oil and mix until smooth.

Pour chocolate mix over quinoa and mix until quinoa is evenly coated.

Line 6x4-inch pan with parchment, folding over edges. Pour mixture in and use spatula to smooth out evenly.

Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until solid.

Remove by lifting up from edges of parchment and cut into bars. 

Makes 5 large bars or 10 mini bars
