Goldenberry Margarita Recipe
Elevate your offerings at the home cocktail bar with this tart and sweet margarita featuring goldenberries and a fresh jalapeno garnish.
2 oz. tequila
½ oz. cointreau or triple sec
4 oz. goldenberry lemonade
Splash of soda water
Thinly sliced jalapenos and lime wedges for garnish
1 cup Navitas Organics Goldenberries
3 cups water
2 Tbsp. coconut palm sugar
6 cups organic lemonade
Make the Goldenverry Lemonade:
Add goldenberries, water, and coconut sugar to a small pot. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Add goldenberry mixture to a blender and blend until smooth. Pass the liquid through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth. Add lemonade and chill.
Make the Margarita:
Rim glass with salt, if desired, and add ice. Set aside.
In a tall glass, mix together tequila, cointreau and goldenberry lemonade. Pour over ice and top with a splash of soda water. Garnish with thinly sliced fresh jalapenos and lime wedges.
